Welcome to the department of Communicative Disorders! Located within the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida Health Science Center. Communicative Disorders is a growing department encompassing clinical services in the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology, programs for graduate and professional education, and a variety of applied research activities.

Our clinical, educational, and research programs are innovative and on the cutting-edge of our professions. At the Speech and Hearing Center at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, our faculty and students offer the most recent diagnostic and rehabilitation technologies for children and adults with hearing impairments, as well as language, voice, and swallowing problems.

Graduate programs in Audiology and Rehabilitation Science reflect forward thinking approaches to graduate education in our professional content areas. In addition, we are constantly striving to expand post-graduate educational opportunities through continuing education activities and specialty certification programs for those seeking intense, advanced professional education and clinical training.
