OBJECTIVE:
This course is intended to provide an overview of the American Health System as
it has developed during the past century. Students are expected to
achieve a basic understanding of the building blocks in anticipation of a
future careers and employment in the health care industry of the
REQUIREMENTS The course is organized in a lecture format. The lectures will be organized around the chapters in the text but I will be presenting material not necessarily found in the readings. Students are expected to read the text and attend all lectures.
EVALUATION: There will be a mid-term and final examination both counting equally. There will be a Current Events project for each student. There will be opportunities for extra credit work, if needed. See the last page of this document for expanded detail.
