How to Apply

All students must apply to the College to be admitted to or continue in the College at the junior level. Even if you are a UF or a Public Health and Health Professions sophomore, you must apply and be accepted by the College to continue in Public Health and Health Professions as a junior. The application process is different depending upon whether you are a current UF student. Select the category below that applies to you and follow the instructions.

IF YOU ARE NOT A UF STUDENT: Application to the University of Florida and a specific professional program within our College are two separate steps.  If you are not a UF student, you must apply to both the University and to the College of Public Health and Health Professions.  In order to apply to the University, you must complete a University application. A University application packet can be obtained from: University of Florida, Office of Admissions, 201 Criser Hall, Box 114000, Gainesville, FL 32611-4000. You can also download a University application form from the UF Admissions web site. If you have questions, you can reach the UF Admissions Office at (352) 392-1365.

In order to apply to the College, review the College Admission Requirements and ensure that the application form, all transcripts, and other application materials listed in the program specific section of this packet are sent to the Dean’s Office in the College of PHHP.

IF YOU ARE A CURRENT UF STUDENT: You need to apply to the College, but you do not need to reapply to UF. Fill out the College Student Application Form and ensure that the application form, all transcripts, and other application materials listed in the program specific section of this packet are sent to the Dean’s Office in the College of PHHP. See the Application Materials and Requirements for Admission section at this web site for additional information.

Admission Considerations: Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to our College because our academic programs are "limited access." Limited access means that we admit only a limited number of students each year to ensure our students get the best clinical training possible. Students receiving their AA degree from a Florida Community College are given equal consideration with University of Florida students. However, all students must have all requirements completed, including an AA degree, by the end of Summer A term for both Summer and Fall admission.
